Thank you for visiting my website.
I’m Linda Gibson, sole proprietor of a small pavillion situated in a wild and marshy place forever in the wind. Subjected of late to the fury of vast firestorms
against which there are few defenses.
And so we keep our eyes fixed on the Great White Egret, also native to this place.
You may stroll the small pavillion at your leisure. Here you will find a generous stock of merchandise on display in any weather. We are currently featuring,
in infinite supply, the novel Sortilege (a gothic hybrid),
and the short detective fiction Mrs. Lawton.
Em can’t let go of the past.
Divorced and thirty-something, she moves back to her hometown, has a fling, reconnects. She finds out, to her surprise, that an old gothic novel called Sortilege (or “sorcery”) is now a thing, at least among her friends. Beautiful Anna likes the soap opera version; artsy Robin wants to film it.
Sortilege is about an ingenue out of the distant past, held captive in a mysterious land far away. Her dashing beau, the Baron, sets out to rescue her, with a blind man along as his guide.
There are delays and hazards on the way, but the Baron’s journey takes a macabre turn when he comes upon a curious underground sea. His lovely lady is now within reach, but there are witches. Foul visions. Dark magic. Trickery.
Meanwhile, in the real world, Em is on a journey of her own, where she just might discover something wonderful, and brand new.
A man falls from the sky, and Mrs. Lawton’s client is the only witness. So begins a chain of events that will involve the private eye in a world of increasing danger, as the dark secret of her past casts its long shadow over her life once again.
Being sole proprietor of the small pavillion really leaves me little time for writing e-books or making illustrations for the covers, yet I plan to expand my catalogue over time. Meanwhile, please examine our current offerings, leave your e-mail if you wish, and remember to visit often.
A complimentary invention called The Little Woman is here included for your amusement. It may be used as a gentle reminder of feminine self-sufficiency, or as a bookmark for your Kindle.
This autonomous Little Woman is equipped to handle all repairs to her exceptional person. She has the tools she needs for healing minor hurts, for making big adjustments, and even skill enough, when needed, to fine-tune the power cell within her vital core.
Keep well --
Linda
